Tonie Beharrell joins Register of Arbitrators

February 27, 2023

Please join us in congratulating Tonie Beharrell on her appointment to the Collective Agreement Arbitration Bureau (CAAB) Register of Arbitrators. Tonie’s experience in adjudication and mediation, and her unique experience as an advocate as employer counsel, and later, in-house counsel for a large public sector union, sets her apart.

Tonie has long been a contributor to excellence in adjudication, and frequently teaches other adjudicators best practices in writing and inclusive adjudication. Her commitment to ensuring that her own learning (and that of the labour bar) is reflective of current social context is evident in her recent presentations on trauma-informed techniques for assessing credibility to the Arbitrators Association of BC and at the BC CLE Human Rights Conference, both co-presented with her colleague Reut Amit.

We are excited for Tonie to continue to grow her practice as a neutral and to lend her expertise to the labour community to help them find answers to their disputes.
